Limbe

Under a watchful eye,
Qaïs and Leïla
finally meet again.

Limbe is inspired by a popular Arabian tale: Qaïs and Leïla. This story of impossible love is like that of the sun and the moon. Mark Daovannary brings together two elements that follow each other without ever being able to unite.

In a single sculpture and through an anamorphosis, he combines day and the night, represented by gold and silver leaves. The forms are simple, pure and complementary, in the image of Qaïs and Leïla.
